The S45 is a low-cost capacitive liquid level switch that monitors coolant level within radiators and provides an alarm signal in the event of any water-based coolant loss.

The S45 is a low-cost capacitive liquid level switch that monitors coolant level within radiators and provides an alarm signal in the event of any water-based coolant loss.

The S46 performs the same functions but in oil or fuels.

The miniaturised design maximises space availability and reduces weight thus competing in enclosed applications where traditional float operated devices are used.

The solid state electronics includes a built in 10 seconds time delay feature that allows the switch to operate effectively where fluid turbulence or vibration can cause a float device to signal intermittently.

Additionally, it incorporates an integral self-test feature.

The standard product is supplied with a 0.25in NPTF thread which comes with a pre-applied thread sealant to speed up assembly.

The connector is a motor industry standard Packard type to give a fully water tight seal.

Options include for various thread sizes including 0.5in BSP and 0.5in NPTF.
