Record turnover for custom PSU manufacturer

Ferrus Power has seen a record increase in overall turnover of GBP 2.1 million for the year to October 2002.

Celebrating 15 years of design and manufacturing custom switch-mode power supplies, Ferrus Power of Peterborough, has seen a record increase in overall turnover of GBP 2.1 million for the year to October 2002.

This represents an increase from GBP 1.5 million for the same financial period of the previous year.

Managing Director, Alistair Parkinson, says: "Our overall growth over the last 12 months has largely been attributed to the increased investment in the medical industry worldwide.

Ferrus operates a policy of continuous improvement.

Through these reviews we have implemented new manufacturing techniques, to aid company efficiency.

We have invested in surface mount technology along with the latest test and inspection equipment which improves our manufacturing capabilities and enables us to provide a much higher power density product where required.

This coupled with an increase of repeat business from existing customers has provided us with a firm order book for the foreseeable future.

Current market predications indicate a slow but steady growth period for 2003".

With further improvements underway to include an extension to the Peterborough site to increase capacity by 40% and Ferrus' commitment to provide good quality product and services to its customers, the future looks bright.
