Bird settles into top HR role
Foster Wheeler Energy has appointed Francis Bird to the role of Human Resources Director.

Bird, who has a strong international background, comes to Foster Wheeler from the Royal Mail Group where he was HR strategy and operations director, involved in driving through a major change program and implementing HR policies.
He was previously with Motorola for 10 years undertaking a number of senior HR roles, culminating in the position of European HR director for the personal communications sector.
His early career was spent with GEC, Toshiba and Freemans in a variety of HR roles.
Bird has a BA degree in geography from Queen Mary College, London University, and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
