Board appointment at Foster Wheeler
Former Chief Financial Officer of NRG Energy takes a place on the board of directors at Foster Wheeler.
Foster Wheeler has appointed Robert Flexon to fill an existing vacancy on the board of directors with effect from 1st May 2006, "We are very pleased to welcome Flexon to our board at this exciting time for Foster Wheeler", said Raymond Milchovich, Chairman, President and CEO "With our company's significantly improved capital structure, strong backlog, and the majority of our markets either in or entering an investment phase, I believe that we are well-positioned to deliver a strong performance in 2006"

Since March 2004, Flexon has been the Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer of NRG Energy, a publicly traded wholesale power generation company primarily engaged in the ownership and operation of power generation facilities and the sale of energy, capacity and related products in the USA and internationally.
From 2000 until 2004, Flexon held senior financial services positions with Hercules, a publicly traded company engaged in the manufacture of specialty chemicals used in making a variety of products for home, office and industrial markets.
Flexon, a certified public accountant, has a background in auditing extending back to his days as an Audit Manager with Coopers and Lybrand in the 1980s and in various key accounting-related positions, including general auditor, with Atlantic Richfield from 1987 to 2000.
Flexon will be a member of the audit committee.
