Frazer-Nash Consultancy is helping the MoD develop the Hard Kill Defensive Aid Suite (HKDAS) programme, which protects armoured vehicles.

The defence suite is being run by the MoD's Force Protection IPT at Abbey Wood.

Frazer-Nash, specialists in land systems technology, will work with the MoD to produce a detailed safety case report of the HKDAS programme to demonstrate its suitability for military environments.

Defensive aid suites are active protective systems which protect land systems against ballistic, chemical/biological and mine attacks.

In this assessment phase, Frazer-Nash will provide the safety measures for the programme.

The study, due to be completed in May next year, will investigate the safety requirements needed for the programme to move into the subsequent design and manufacture phase.
