Automation engineers can obtain two separate movements on a single linear axis, saving design and assembly time plus an actuator With the Gripper Cylinder ZG they can create compact, simple and cost-effective parts handling systems for a variety of applications

The ZG has two independent carriages built into one aluminium extrusion actuated by two integrated rodless pneumatic cylinders.

The four port version allows individual control over the carriages while the three port unit ensures simultaneous opening and closing movements.

Applications include bar and strip feeders with exact pitch settings, linear transfer systems to assembly stations and between machines or presses, double pick and place systems, gantry loaders, large grippers, box making and handling equipment, components positioners, double sliding door operators.

Speed, thrust and stroke of each carriage can be regulated separately enabling to grip and transfer large and fragile products such as glass panels or similar.

Available cylinder bores are 18 / 25 / 32 / 40 / 50 and 63 mm with strokes up to 3000 mm per carriage.

The ZG forms part of the versatile Lanamatic range of rodless pneumatic cylinders and is also available with integral guidance providing smooth, precision motion and large mounting platforms for custom tooling.
