Forming part of the Gimapick series Pick and Place Modules, the rotary actuators R32 and R63 are equipped with internal air leads.

Pneumatic components for automation made by Gimatic, Italy are distributed in the UK exclusively by FS Engineering, and now include adjustable rotary actuators with two or three positions and a large torque range The 2 Position rotary actuator series "AT" is available in two versions

One consisting of two small swivel units with directly actuated drive shafts via the piston rods, providing a swivelling moment of 0.724 Nm at 6 bar air pressure.

Integrated setting screws allow adjustment to the range of rotation between -3deg to 184deg and -4deg to 364deg respectively.

Rotation time without load for the 180deg unit is 0.05 seconds and 0.1 seconds for the 360deg one.

The larger three types form the second version featuring a robust rack and pinion driven mounting table with torques of 1.93 Nm, 5.3 Nm and 26.7 Nm respectively.

The angle of rotation is fully adjustable with large stop screws which are fitted with polyurethane inserts to dampen the impact.

These inserts can easily be substituted with standard hydraulic shock absorbers for energy dissipation derived from the inertia of the rotating mass and to achieve consistent precision positioning.

The 3 Position units types ATD-25180 and ATD-45180 have a 0deg mid position from which the angle of rotation to the left and the right is adjustable to 91deg.

The mid position can be switched on or off as required by the machine control system.

Standard proximity sensors can be fitted to the actuator housing for accurate position signalling.

New products: Forming part of the Gimapick series Pick and Place Modules, the rotary actuators R32 and R63 are equipped with internal air leads.

Handling systems built with Gimapick slides, rotary actuators, adapter plates and grippers require no external air pipes and fittings.

The rotary actuators are compact and robust and are available with either 90deg or 180 +/-8deg.

The direct drive moves a large mounting table delivering 4.34 Nm for the R32 and 22.44 Nm for the R63.

The Gimapick series includes shock absorbers and sensing provisions as standard.
