The 1GHz Smart Camera VC4466 is the first model in the new VC44xx camera series from Vision Components.

Available now in the UK from FS Systems, the 1GHz Smart Camera VC4466 is the first model in the new VC44xx camera series from Vision Components.

With their improved specifications, these intelligent cameras are suitable for highly demanding applications.

All VC44xx models incorporate the latest Texas Instruments DSP generation (1GHz, 8000MIPS) and feature an RS232 and an Ethernet interface as well as an external trigger input that enables jitter-free image recording even at high reading frequencies.

The VC4466 has a third-inch CCD sensor with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and a maximum frame rate of 30 frames per second (60 frame/s in binning mode).

The basic versions are equipped with 4Mbyte Flash EPROM and 64Mbyte SDRAM for program and picture storage, which can be optionally extended to 128Mbyte.

Just like their predecessor models, the new cameras have a direct video output, four digital PLC inputs and four digital outputs.
