Fluoroplastics feature exceptional properties
PTFE engineered parts exhibit almost universal chemical resistance over a wide temperature range.
It is this reduction in friction which allows for 100 percent jolt-free movement and positioning of tools such as industrial trucks, hoists, platforms, agricultural machinery and earth movers particularly in light to medium applications.
The easy-running seal Merkel LF 300 is a rod seal made of polyurethane (PU) with an asymmetrical profile which works according to a simple principle.
The secret of the significant reduction in friction is the grooves on the seal's inner diameter.
These grooves reduce the contact face considerably without limiting the sealing effect or reliability of the seal in any way.
When compared with conventional U-packings, the friction of the LF 300 can be reduced by up to 30 percent, regardless of the pressure.
This significant reduction in friction even at low sliding speeds allows for 100 percent jolt-free movement of the hydraulic system.
It also makes industrial trucks or hoists significantly easier to control and position.
The low friction also makes it easier to operate bulldozers or diggers, hydraulic presses and agricultural machinery more accurately. Request a free brochure from FTL Seals Technology ...
