FTL Seal Technology has announced that its Graphalloy range has been accepted by the FDA for "repeat use food contact equipment" in baking ovens, pumps, mixers and conveyors .
Ovens and conveyors undergo high heat and continuous operation that challenges critical component's life and durability.
Self lubricating Graphalloy bushings and bearings perform in temperature extremes up to 400C where conventional materials often fail.
Graphalloy prevents unnecessary downtime and lost production.
With its low coefficient of friction and high strength, Graphalloy bearings deliver longlife and are not subject to seizures, binding or sudden failure.
Especially important is that Graphalloy contains no oil or grease and can be immersed in liquids without causing contamination of food production or packaging.
Plus, Graphalloy easily withstands high pressure steam cleaning operations and keeps on working.
