PTFE bellows and diaphragms are used in a variety of applications and can be developed and manufactured using Finite Element Analysis to achieve the best possible shape and service life

Available now from FTL Seals Technology are the PTFE ranges of bellows and diaphragms - these flexible products are used in a variety of applications and can be developed and manufactured according to your particular application.

With regard to operation and safety for difficult and demanding applications, FTL Seals Technology can offer Finite Element Analysis (FEA), which enables configuration of the best possible shape and advanced calculation of the service life.

PTFE is a material which is resistant to almostall chemicals and it can be used at temperatures up to 260C.

Applications for diaphragms and bellows in this material include: the chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, food industry (FDA approved), medical engineering, and offshore installations.

PTFE diaphragms control, separate, convey and seal aggressive media in valves and pumps.

The design can be developed according to the application with regard to stroke length, temperature and pressure, physical dimension etc.

PTFE bellows can be used for example as flexible connections in piping systems, protection against dust in dynamic machine applications, other types of flexible joints, or special sealing systems.

The material used in both the diaphragms and bellows can be pure PTFE or a combination where the connecting flange is made of, for example, reinforced glass fibre PTFE.

Sizes can vary from external diameters from 20mm to 2000mm.
