Bearings make pumps more rugged

A FTL Seals Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 25, 2007

Graphalloy pump bearings are ideal for high and low temperature operation with poor lubrication.

Over the years FTL Seals has become increasingly involved with bearing problems associated with sealing problems.

So much so that the company's website has become an initial search point for a whole host of bearing problems.

Many pump manufacturers now turn to Graphalloy, supplied by FTL, as soon as any hint of "dry running" is mentioned.

Graphalloy can be used on dry startups or where the bushes are starved of product lubrication.

One particular example is the Malampaya Deep Water Gasto Power Project in the South China Seas where the pumpline shaft is over 70m in length.

Graphalloy is used in many applications where high and low temperatures are encountered, aggressive media are involved or poor lubrication is the norm.
