Precision mouldings available from FTL

A FTL Seals Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 30, 2009

FTL Technology offers specialist precision mouldings in a range of elastomers, including organic and inorganic elastomers such as silicone, fluorosilicone and liquid silicone.

The company can also offer rubber-to-metal composite solutions typically used in bump stops and vibration control.

Applications vary from standard and non-standard 'O'-rings operating in extreme temperatures and chemically aggressive environments, to bespoke custom-designed technical mouldings in high-specification materials.

A comprehensive range of elastomers is available, including: nitrile (NBR); hydrogenated nitrile (HNBR); carboxylated nitrile (XNBR); Viton (FKM); ethylene propylene (EPDM); silicone (MQ); fluorosilicone (FVMQ); neoprene (CR); natural rubber (NR); and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR).

Using the latest elastomer materials and manufacturing techniques, FTL can produce composite parts, including metal, PTFE bonding and fabric reinforcements.

In developing custom parts, it works closely with customers to develop solutions that last longer, require less maintenance and deliver the lowest cost of ownership.

FTL Technology has the ability to accept electronic CAD drawings using the latest Autodesk Inventor software, (components are designed in 3D CAD) as well as using finite element analysis modelling to explore scenario planning, ensuring the final component design is right first time.

FTL Technology is design-certified to ISO 9001:2000.
