Meco seals from FTL Technology (FTLT) offer plastics manufacturers effective shaft sealing for a wide variety of machinery, handling difficult-to-seal products.
FTLT provides seals for a variety of extruder compounding resins with abrasive fillers such as talc, Ti02, glass fibre and so on.
They eliminate product contamination from packing residue and are claimed to permit longer at-grade production runs than conventional seals.
These seals can be designed elastomer free to eliminate material compatibility problems caused by aggressive chemicals.
Meco seals can be installed as factory equipment on new extruders.
Meco extruder seals eliminate the powder leakage typical of stuffing boxes and molten polymer leakage.
