Dr Rob Harwood, Principal CFD Engineer in Chemical Process at Fluent Europe, has won two sponsored prizes from the Engineering Management Partnership for achieving the best score in the UK.

Dr Rob Harwood, Principal CFD Engineer in Chemical Process at Sheffield-based Fluent Europe, has won two sponsored prizes from the Engineering Management Partnership (EMP) for achieving the best score in the UK He won the Hyder Consulting Advanced Management Prize and the Halcrow Business Environment Prize (2002), both at Stage 2, receiving the awards despite the fact that he completed both the first and second year studies within a single year

The EMP is a partnership between a number of top ranking UK academic institutions, led by Bristol University.

It is dedicated to driving the career development of engineers and technologists by offering qualifications from postgraduate certificates to MBAs and doctorates in engineering, with a focus on providing the skills and training that are most sought after in engineering industry.

Fluent Europe sponsored Dr Harwood through his studies as part of his career development at the company.

Commenting on the award, Managing Director of Fluent, Dr Chris King said: "Naturally we are extremely pleased that Dr Harwood has proved what an invaluable member of our team he is.
