Field metrology wells handle 660C environments

A Fluke Precision Measurement product story

Hart Scientific's field metrology wells maximise speed and portability without compromising key metrology performance criteria.

Hart Scientific has introduced the 9140 series field metrology wells, designed for optimum performance and functionality over the range of - 25C to +660C.

Unlike traditional field dry-wells, the new field metrology wells maximise speed and portability without compromising key metrology performance criteria such as stability to +/-0.01C, radial uniformity to +/-0.01C, axial uniformity at 40mm to +/-0.04C, loading to +/-0.006C and hysteresis to +/-0.015C.

The units weigh about 7.3kg and will reach 660C in less than 15 minutes.

The field metrology well "process" option allows a turn-key solution for field calibration.

Each process version has a built-in reference thermometer readout that will accept reference probes with smart six-pin DIN connectors which store probe characterisation in the connector.

The built-in reference readout has a second channel which will measure resistance, voltage, or 4-20mA current.

The process version provides 24V loop power for calibration of temperature transmitters.

With every calibration, the process version of field metrology wells can automate and document as-found and as-left data from the reference probe and the unit under test.

Each unit has an LCD and menu driven interface.

field metrology wells have a dedicated temperature set point and C/F buttons.

Pre-programmed tasks and temperature points can easily be saved and recalled for pre-routed calibrations.

All inputs and terminals are located on the front of the unit for easy access.
