A novel range of brushless hub wheel motors features greatly reduced torque ripple at low speeds and increased motor overload capacity.

A novel range of brushless hub wheel motors features greatly reduced torque ripple at low speeds and increased motor overload capacity.

Using a patented method in armature magnetic field design, the achieved sinusoidal magnetic field helps concentrate magnetic fields and reduce the demagnetisation under high ambient temperatures.

Designs with up to 20 poles further reduce the torque ripple at low speeds - which is a major technical problem for traditionally designed hub motors.

The new brushless hub wheel motors are ideal for use in electrical mobility products where taking out the traditional transaxle in the driving system results in better performance and cost reductions.

They can also be used in washing machine and medical analysis equipment, removing the need for complicated belt and wheel arrangements.

Power outputs rang from 150W to 18kW, and the hub motors can be designed to fit specific OEM requirements.
