Fauske and Associates (FAI) is celebrating its 25th anniversary of addressing the safety challenges faced by the chemical process and the nuclear power industries.
Fauske and Associates (FAI) is celebrating its 25th anniversary of addressing the safety challenges faced by the chemical process and the nuclear power industries.
Founded in 1980, by Hans Fauske, DSc and Robert Henry, PhD, FAI was chosen by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) to serve as the principal research contractor for the development of the Design Institute for Emergency Relief Systems (DIERS) project.
Since completing this project in 1985, FAI has worked closely with the industry to support the use of state-of-the-art safety methodology.
Also recognised by the nuclear industry for its expertise in modelling severe accident phenomena and comprehensive plant evaluations, FAI was selected in 1981 by the Industry Degraded Core Rulemaking (IDCOR) organisation to develop an engineering understanding of severe accident phenomena using mathematical models.
Today FAI is a leading consultant to the nuclear power industry with its Nuclear Systems Group staffed by qualified engineers and scientists who participate in all facets of nuclear safety activities, health physics and equipment qualification programmes.

The company has also launched a new updated website.
