Baker enhances engineering skills base
FMA has appointed Mark Baker as a Business Development Manager.
Following a 12-month period that has seen FMA continue to enhance its engineering skills base across all areas, the Lichfield based project design, management, process control and manufacturing information technologies specialist has appointed Mark Baker as a Business Development Manager.
An engineering graduate with over 20 years' sales and marketing expertise - the majority of which has been spent in field sales and business development in the instrumentation, controls and automation sectors - Baker offers specific experience in the process, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and utilities industries.
He is a Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control and a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.
Commented FMA Sales and Marketing Director, Paul Bunyan: "As part of our ongoing business development strategy, we are obviously keen to further expand sales opportunities in those sectors where we are already well known, as well as present FMA's range of industry-leading capabilities to new industries".
"Mark's high levels of experience and outstanding sector-specific knowledge made him an obvious choice to join the sales team in the role of Business Development Manager - focusing mainly on the food and pharma sectors".
Baker's appointment follows on from the recent promotion of FMA Senior Project Engineer, Nick Jones, to the role of Project Engineering Manager and FMA's investment in several new software, project and process engineers.
Concluded Bunyan: "Having grown to become a UK success story and a truly international player, we now have the people, systems and procedures in place to further enhance the levels of service provided to existing clients and bring new levels of capability to even more organisations in the domestic and global brewing markets, dairy, general liquid processing, food manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries".
