Machined springs overcome wound limitations
For those engineers familiar with the traditional wound spring format, Abssac is offering a new way of looking at reliability, performance and attachment by use of a machined spring.
Electrodeposited metal bellows come to the UK
Abssac now supports the full range of unique electrodeposited metal bellows and electroformed products available from the Servometer Corp as its newly appointed sole UK distributor.
The standard range comes in round, hexagonal and micro specifications, in body sizes from 4mm M2.5 to 105mm M12 and above.
G and B Projects also specialises in in-house manufacturing of nonstandard nylon pillars of any custom length, with a fast turnaround, at no extra cost.
It can also rapidly and economically alter other attributes, such as body style, body diameter, thread type and thread length to customers' exact requirements.
For example, a customer could specify a 37.5mm round nylon pillar featuring an M3 female insert at one end and a 20mm long M4 male thread at the other.
As well as being adaptable, G and B's nylon pillars are inherently resistant to shock from incidents that typically cause inferior products to fail, for example vibration in use, movement in transit or accidental falls, thanks to the exceptional strength and resilience given by the solid body style and its brass insert.
To date, G and B has never known one of its own designed inserts to disengage from the nylon body in any practical application.
The company manufactures only from the highest grade virgin nylon 66.
G and B's nylon pillars also offer excellent insulative characteristics, which cannot be delivered by metal pillars, while providing the strength that plastic pillars cannot.
The solid nylon body minimises flashover and eliminates the internal current tracking issues found in some hollow designs.
Also on show at Southern Manufacturing will be G and B's: nylon spacers; snap-in nylon pillars and spacers; headed insulating bushes; metric screws, nuts and washers (nylon and brass); brass pillars and spacers (clearance and threaded); steel pillars; screwlock assemblies (D-type connector); and earthing bars (brass).
Most components can be custom-made to nonstandard specifications, as required by the customer.
Free samples of G and B's products will be available at the show for visitors to take away and evaluate.
