Glacier Computer has added an XGA 1024 x 768 display option for its popular GX-1200 industrial computer.

Glacier Computer has added an XGA 1024 x 768 display option for its popular GX-1200 industrial computer.

An affordably priced upgrade, the XGA display is the only one of its kind available for computers specifically designed for use on forklifts.

The XGA display, an easy-to-accommodate option, does not increase the computer's 12in screen size.

What's more, the enhanced resolution will have no effect on the unit's convenient touch-screen technology.

According to John Geary, Vice President of Glacier: "Until recently, customers choosing the 12in screen were limited to 800 x 600 VGA screen resolution".

"While application developers liked the 12in diagonal, they often asked for greater screen resolution, allowing them to view more information on the screen".

"With the introduction of our XGA option, we have answered these requests without impacting any of the unit's attractive features".

The fastest computer available today, the GX-1200 is designed to meet the rigors of the warehousing, manufacturing, and time and attendance marketplaces.

Equipped with a powerful 1.2GHz Pentium processor, the GX-1200 is able to withstand the vibration and shock of a forklift installation.

An integrated Bluetooth option enables users to access the latest in short range wireless peripherals, such as barcode scanners.
