Bosch chose LNP Lubricomp compound for the filter wheel and connection gear in the DinionXF security camera.

Bosch Security Systems is a leading supplier of equipment to the electronic protection industry.

The company won the NSCA's 2005 Innovations in Technology award in the Security/Fire/Life Safety category with its high-performance, smart surveillance LTC 0495 DinionXF day/night camera, which achieves superior image quality even under poor lighting conditions, day or night.

The camera features a mechanically switching IR filter - based on GE Advanced Materials' LNP Lubcricomp resins.

Bosch's DinionXF camera captures excellent images under difficult light and scene conditions.

Recognised in its category as an excellent day/night camera, the DinionXF camera features 15bit DSP technology, XF-Dynamic, Bilinx communication, NightSense, video motion detection and comes with a lens wizard.

In terms of internal mechanism performance, the DinionXF also features a connection gear made from LNP Lubricomp KFL4034 compound and a filter wheel made from LNP Lubricomp KA compound.

Key benefits of LNP Lubcricomp compound are: to help reduce wear and noise, help extend product life and to eliminate external lubricants.

LNP Lubricomp compounds provide inherent lubricity by combining engineering resins with PTFE, silicone, aramid fibre or other fillers.

LNP Lubricomp compounds can be created from over 30 engineering thermoplastics, including polycarbonate, acetal, nylon, polyphenylene sulphide, ABS, Peek, PPO and polypropylene.

Greater design freedom, part consolidation, and improved production economies are some of the benefits of injection moulding with LNP Lubricomp compounds.

Furthermore, when it's combined with other reinforcements and additives, a virtually unlimited choice of compounds can be created that provide low wear, enhanced mechanical, and thermal properties, flame retardancy, greater fatigue endurance and excellent dimensional stability.

LNP Lubricomp compounds may significantly reduce friction and wear rates of plastic parts moving over other surfaces, whether it's plastic-on-metal wear or plastic-on-plastic wear.

They also help extend product life, and help reduce or eliminate squeaks and other noise from moving parts.

The low wear and low coefficient of friction helps ensure smooth and consistent quality, as well as stable performance of the IR filter and connection gear in different environments.

LNP Lubricomp compounds are present in the interior components of business machines, automotive, and industrial applications.
