A Gambica product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 1, 2000

GAMBICA is launching a training course on the vital role of variable speed drives in saving energy, as well as improving manufacturing process control and reducing maintenance costs.

GAMBICA, the association for instrumentation, control and automation, is launching a training course on the vital role of variable speed drives in saving energy, as well as improving manufacturing process control and reducing maintenance costs.

Supported under the Government's Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programme and with the first course starting in October 2000, it will run on a modular correspondence format.

The course will be unique in focussing on the practical aspects for VSD applications, including all elements from power source to driven equipment and surrounding environment, rather than just product training.

Intended to cover a period of 150 hours and be completed within six months, the course is designed to increase general awareness to a reasonable technical level and will suit maintenance, sales and sales support engineers, consultants and system engineers.

It will be administered by GAMBICA and lead to the award of a GAMBICA Certificate of Competence.

The course is priced at £500 +VAT.
