Following recent publication of the electricity supply industry's new requirements on harmonics, GAMBICA has hosted a one-day conference to help industry manage the change.

The new Engineering Recommendation G5/4 from the Electricity Association supersedes the well-established G5/3 and sets the planning levels for harmonic voltage distortion and connection of non-linear loads to the supply system.

It introduces many new measures to achieve compliance, which will have major implications for manufacturers, contractors, consultants and end users.

The GAMBICA Conference, "Industry Guide to Harmonics - Managing the Change to G5/4" provided an insight into understanding and meeting the new requirements.

Papers were presented by leading experts from the drives industry.

GAMBICA also launched its new guide to G5/4 and delegates received complimentary copies.

The conference, which had the support of the ECA, REMA and BPMA, took place on Thursday 3rd May 2001 at the CBI Conference Centre, Centrepoint, London.

The event attracted over 100 delegates from a broad cross section of industries.
