GAMBICA has just completed its annual bid to Trade Partners UK for support for UK companies to take part in 11 key international trade fairs in 2003-4.
GAMBICA has just completed its annual bid to Trade Partners UK for support for UK companies to take part in 11 key international trade fairs in 2003-4.
GAMBICA's submission, if accepted in full, would release around GBP 450,000 of direct grant funding to companies exhibiting at the fairs it has targeted.
The targeted fairs are seen by GAMBICA as being of key relevance to exporting companies in the instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology sectors.
Companies in clinical diagnostics and biotechnology will also benefit.
The events include Medica in Dusseldorf, the CIA show in Singapore, Pittcon in the US, Arab Lab in Dubai and Miconex in Beijing.
GAMBICA's current programme already guarantees grant support to eligible companies at this year's Medica, Arab Lab and Achema, Frankfurt in 2003, and Interkama, Dusseldorf in 2004.
Colin Andrews, Deputy Director of GAMBICA commented, "As the leading trade association for our industry sectors, we consider our role as a sponsor of Trade Partners UK's 'Support for Exhibitions Scheme' one of our key activities, benefiting members and non-members alike.
This scheme is one of the areas where there is absolutely no debate about the value of government support.
We put tremendous effort into preparing our bid for support for these fairs, which has to compete with those from a range of other high profile industries".
