Global Display Solutions will exhibit its latest TFT and CRT displays at EID, which takes place at the UK NEC in Birmingham, 12th-13th February 2003 Product developments from GDS planned to make their debut in Birmingham include: a new 30in TFT public information display; new Mitra series 6.4 to 20.1in sunlight readable TFT displays; a 32in natural flat CRT PID; new industrial chassis TFT displays; and new high-performance TFT video cards

Previous applications and areas of expertise include displays for marine, ATM, kiosks, transport information, machine control and medical applications.

Many GDS displays are designed or adapted according to application to provide the end-user with an effective and reliable information display, so custom display enquiries are welcome.

The new 30in 16:9 TFT flat screen PID is a lightweight, compact and reliable display.

It has significantly improved long-term life and performance compared to Plasma displays and eliminates the problems of static data images becoming permanently burned into the display phosphor.

Very high brightness sunlight readable TFT displays, also manufactured by GDS, allow display applications to located either outdoors, inside vehicles or in any other bright conditions where normal TFT displays cannot cope.

Also on booth A74 will be GDS's totally flat CRT screens which offer reliability, low-cost maintenance and have a better performance than conventional CRT monitors, making them suitable for application in airports, rail and coach stations.

GDS is the first manufacturer to deploy this technology to the industry and has successfully installed over six airports in the last twelve months.
