Global Display Solutions has introduced an electronic design service to help its customers design display systems for specific projects.

Global Display Solutions (GDS) has introduced an electronic design service to help its customers design display systems for specific projects The service will support the firm's customers in developing new products

This follows the firm developing display systems for the likes of NCR, Diebold, Raymarine, GE Medical, Siemens and Marconi.

The design service ranges from full turnkey product design and cost reduction developments to design with component obsolescence in mind.

From design development to legacy support, the firm will work closely with customers to find a best fit for each application.

The team of more than 40 engineers includes specialists in all monitor LCD areas of display technology.

The goal is to achieve rapid prototyping from functional samples through to production, complete with a manufacturing data pack.

The team designs for manufacture to smooth the transition to volume production.

GDS will carry out all testing on the end products and provide customers with test summary reports to ensure proper functionality and product quality before production release.

Displays are available in metal and plastic enclosures.

The company specialises in sunlight readability, thermal management, outdoor display systems, IP65, ruggedisation, optical enhancement, self diagnostics, PC integration, long video source connection and legacy support.
