Available for remote data acquisition and control, the OpenDAC is a network interface and remote slave that responds to commands that it receives over the network.

The OpenDAC is a network interface and remote slave that responds to commands that it receives over the network.

This inexpensive flexible interface unit is available for remote data acquisition and control.

The OpenDAC supports Ethernet, Profibus DP, Modbus RTU, Modbus ASC11 and Optomux protocols.

The OpenDAC I/O system can stand alone with an industrial PC as a host or to an OpenLine, PLC or DCS system to expand the I/O count or capability.

As one or a number of slave devices on a network the OpenDAC will scan and store the I/O configuration on power up.

Each OpenDAC will connect directly to 32 channels of OpenLine I/O in any configuration of analogue and digital modules.

The internal communications watch dog timer will minimise the impact of a broken communications link between the controller and the master device.
