Calorimetric and Opto-Electronic flow monitoring

A Gemlog Controls product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 5, 2000

Gemlog Controls markets a range of Calorimetric and Opto-Electronic flow products.

Gemlog Controls markets a range of Calorimetric and Opto-Electronic flow products designed for the accurate measurement and monitoring of gases, liquids, oils, powders and granules over a wide range of temperatures and flow rates.

The calorimetric versions, working on the measurement of constant temperature difference between two probes avoids the need for moving parts in the flow stream, ideally suited for use with liquids of high viscosity.

High precision turbine sensors are also available for applications demanding accurate volumetric measurement.

Standard monitoring heads are Stainless Steel 316 with other materials available for use with aggressive media with EX versions offered for hazardous areas.

These systems provide a choice of outputs to signal deviation of flow from a pre-set level.

Temperature monitoring and continuous analogue output are additional functions on some models.
