The new VersaMax Easy Program Store device from GE Fanuc Automation enables users to perform program and configuration field upgrades to their VersaMax modular CPUs without a computer.

The Easy Program Store is designed to make it easy for OEMs to upgrade their customers without costly travel.

Simply send the Easy Programmer to the end customer and by pressing the activation button the program and configuration is updated.

Easy Program Store accessory, the most recent addition to the VersaMax family of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and I/O, simplifies programming by enabling users to plug into the CPU's RS-485 port.

By using VersaProT programming software and either the RS-232 or Ethernet port for a programmer connection, users choose Easy Program Store as the location to which to write the program, take the Easy loader to the PLC, and download changes.

The device is flash-based and can be overwritten many times.

Hardware features on the Easy Program Store include a 15-pin D-shell connector for connection to the VersaMax modular controller programmer port, an activation button to initiate the storing sequence, an indicator LED to show storing status, and a light-colored, textured surface area for content marking.

The Easy Program Store is fully compatible with all VersaMax CPUs including CPUE05 and CPU005, and supports the new VersaPro 2.0 programming software.
