GE Fanuc offers a selection of PC software to simulate the CNC and Manual Guide i interfaces, as well as the PMC of the CNC controller
The PC environment is ideal for learning faster and for development work for the CNC controller.
For this reason, GE Fanuc offers a selection of PC software to simulate the CNC and Manual Guide i interfaces, as well as the PMC of the CNC controller.
The CNC and Manual Guide i simulators model and simulate the entire control system on the screen.
Additional hardware is not required.
By using these simulators, companies can significantly improve their productivity because some CNC programs can be written, tested and optimised on a PC before installing them on the CNC.
In addition, the simulators are ideal educational and training tools.
By using them on college or in-house courses and during training sessions, the handling of CNC controls is simulated in a practical manner.
The result is better, faster and more effective instruction.
The Manual Guide i simulator is not dedicated to a particular machine.
It covers interactive programming and DIN ISO programming for turning and milling on all the GE Fanuc Series 16i/18i/21i CNCs and the Series 30i/31i/32i CNCs.
Manual Guide i shopfloor programming software is simulated, providing quick and easy programming even for more complex parts.
Using the simulator, the software can be presented and explained in an optimal way.
The programs that are created can be transferred from the PC to the appropriate machine tool, but must still be adapted accordingly.
For example, the special M functions must still be programmed, since these are specified by the machine manufacturer and the PC simulator does not have these available.
The CNC simulator is the ideal training and instructional tool for ISO programming.
Simulation of the Series 30i/31i/32i CNCs takes place on a standard PC.
Three different CNC screen sizes can be selected: 8.4", 10.4" or 15".
The simulator contains all the CNC screens, such as those for macro variables, parameters, offsets, tool tables and diagnostics.
Together with the PMC simulator, machine oriented programming is possible.
The programs created with the simulators can then be transferred to the CNC of the machine.
In this way, everyday work on the CNC can be significantly simplified and the machine productivity increased.
In addition to the single station simulator which is already available, GE Fanuc now offers a version of the combined CNC / Manual Guide i simulator that can be networked.
This enables a limited number of PCs to be connected to a server, allowing several trainees at different PCs to work simultaneously with the simulators.
