The RX3i CPU320 includes two built-in communication ports, configurable data and program memory.

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms has released the PACSystems RX3i CPU320, which incorporates the Intel 1GHz processor to provide high speed and performance.

The CPU320 is suitable for applications where the processing power of the current controller has been pushed to the limit.

The CPU320 has 64Mbyte of user memory available.

"The CPU320 is ideal for a wide range of high-speed applications where memory and performance are needed", said Bill Black, Controllers Product Manager for GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms.

"Typical applications where the new CPU should be positioned is material handling, packaging, assembly and process control".

The RX3i CPU320 includes two built-in communication ports, configurable data and program memory.

The CPU320 can be programmed in ladder diagram, structured text, function block diagram and C.

The CPU supports symbolic variables addressing and over 32K of discrete and analogue I/O.

The processor supports up to 512 program blocks with a maximum size for a block of 128Kbyte.
