Gems Sensors' introduction of new Teflon and Flange Mounted models expands the fluid sensing industry's broadest line of Electro-optic liquid level sensors.

New additions also include the most compact Electro-Optic sensor on the market that enables liquid level sensing in places not ordinarily thought possible.

Gems Electro-optic family now offers higher temperature capability (selected units to 100C); higher pressure ratings (selected units to 172 bar); and a greater resistance to particulate contaminants in process fluids.

Sensors within Gems Electro-Optic sensor family feature solid-state designs with no moving parts to ensure reliability and long service life, and special electronics designs engineered to meet rigorous ambient conditions.

All Gems Electro-Optic sensors feature integrated electronics that eliminate the need for a separate controller.

Gems Electro-Optic sensors are presently being used in a wide range of medical equipment, semiconductor, HVAC and R, pump, machine tool and on-and off-highway vehicle applications.

For high-purity or "clean" applications, a Teflon Sensor is offered - which features a Vapour barrier boot and a flanged, flush-mount polysulfone unit.

This eliminates the use of threads, which can allow contamination to collect.

The flanged sensor is especially suited for applications involving liquid level monitoring in thin-walled plastic vessels where thread mounting is impossible or adds undesirable cost.

Sensors are designed to operate in virtually any liquid - regardless of specific gravity, conductivity, dielectric constant or foaming.

Gems Electro-Optic sensors are available in a wide variety of materials including nylon, polysulfone, 316 stainless steel, and nickel plated steel suit almost any application.

All designs are minimally intrusive and available in a variety of mounting configurations from 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT to M12, 1/2"-20 and 3/4"-16 straight thread o-ring.

Models with removable electronics are also offered.

Sensors are available with wet or dry sink outputs; 5 VDC or 12 VDC input power.
