Reed switches ideal for movement/position sensing

A Gentech International product story

GR10L and GR20L bistable reed switches from Gentech International have the unique facility of requiring no power to operate, and are ideal for movement and position sensing

GR10L and GR20L bistable reed switches from switching, sensing and control solutions specialists Gentech International have the unique facility of requiring no power to operate.

The switches are polarity sensitive and operate when an opposing magnetic field passes, making the GR10L and GR20L reed switches ideal for movement and position sensing.

Existing applications include a garage door position indication, elevator position sensing and flow switching in textile machinery.

In each case a magnet passes the switch causing the switch to latch, indicating position.

Gentech's GR10L is available in 20mm glass length with leads bent for circuit board mounting while the GR20L is available in 15mm glass length, also with leads bent for circuit board mounting.
