Geomate Corp has developed a version of its ToleranceCalc automated tolerance analysis wizard especially to assist Autodesk Inventor software users in conducting tolerance studies of parts and assemblies - without performing any calculations.
ToleranceCalc has met the requirements to be an Autodesk Inventor 6 Certified Application.
Optimal specification of tolerances for parts is becoming recognised by the manufacturing industry as a key element in their efforts to increase profitability.
Modest efforts in this area can yield significant cost savings with little additional capital investment.
ToleranceCalc wizard is a fast and inexpensive add-on tool for Autodesk Inventor software that enables users to make sure the parts they are designing will fit, can be manufactured cost-effectively, and the final product will work the very first time.
An important characteristic of ToleranceCalc is concurrent calculation of planar max, min, and worst case stacks as well as standard deviation from the ideal manufactured part.
ToleranceCalc instantaneously delivers this critical information needed for making intelligent tradeoffs between performance and manufacturability of the design, without exiting the Autodesk Inventor software design environment.
ToleranceCalc does not require any specialised knowledge of dimensional engineering and has a learning curve of minutes.
