Studies have indicated that, as many as half the parts designed using CAD cannot be manufactured cost-effectively or work the first time.
ToleranceCalc 3.0 is a training-free software wizard that was specially created for designers and engineers to perform quick and easy studies of the effect of tolerances on assembly performance and manufacturing quality at any stage of the design process.
The ToleranceCalc 3.0 wizard works inside AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical applications to help designers and engineers to ensure up-front that the products they design can be manufactured to satisfy stated quality goals and will work as expected - the very first time.
An important feature of ToleranceCalc 3.0 is the ability to develop instantaneous Sigma quality values for any given manufacturing and performance criteria at any stage of the design process.
This feature was designed to help companies wanting to adopt DFSS (Design for Six-Sigma) product quality goals.
The ToleranceCalc wizard does not require any specialised knowledge of dimensional engineering and can be used by engineers as well as designers the very first day.
