Geomate has released Cadcalcs 2.0, which enables users to sketch-and-solve a range of design and engineering challenges.
Cadcalcs 2.0 combines the disciplines of sketching, calculations and optimisation in one application, which enables users to work with geometry in the same way as spreadsheets work with numbers.
When geometry and mathematical aspects of an engineering challenge are inseparable, Cadcalcs 2.0 delivers quick answers.
Cadcalcs 2.0 includes eighty-eight geometry-associative calculations that can automate most design calculations needed for aerospace, automotive, mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, chemical and industrial engineering.
Cadcalcs 2.0 includes 'goal seek' capability, which enables users to automatically backsolve design challenges that benefit from optimisation against stipulated shape, position and fit criteria.
Bi-directional DDE dynamic data exchange facility allows users to link Excel and Cadcalcs 2.0 to leverage existing calculations and VB applications to drive Cadcalcs 2.0 solution models.
Complex geometry and dimensional information from Cadcalcs 2.0 can be dynamically linked to Excel calculations, eliminating tedious steps needed for applying mathematics to solve geometry-dependent design problems.
Cadcalcs 2.0 can be used by itself and in conjunction with Excel and all popular CAD applications on any computer running Vista or Windows.
