The AT868 AquaTrans ultrasonic flow transmitter has a new package combining patented correlation transit-time technology with an advanced transmitter.

The GE Panametrics AT868 AquaTrans ultrasonic flow transmitter has been introduced in a new package combining patented correlation transit-time technology with an advanced transmitter to provide a low-cost package for straightforward applications such as cooling water or process waste-water on small to medium sized process plant.

Easily retrofitted to existing pipes as small as 0.5in diameter without requiring process shutdown, and not needing any routine maintenance, the instrument is microprocessor-based with software designed for reliable operation as well as simple installation.

Its IP66 low-profile package can be wall or pipe mounted close to the measurement location, with a 2 x 16 backlit display showing up to four flow parameters in sequence.

A complete package includes a set of either clamp-on or wetted ultrasonic transducers, transducer mounting hardware, interconnection cables, and AT868.

Of particular interest to OEMs as well as end-users in a wide variety of applications, the unit's standard outputs include one 0/4 to 20mA analogue and one frequency/pulse rate/totaliser output.

Systems consume only 20W at 85-265V AC or 12-28V DC.
