Genetic software adds variety to product design

A Genometri product story

New genetic software technology speeds up the process of designing bottles dramatically.

New genetic software technology speeds up the process of designing bottles dramatically.

This technology can generate thousands of models from one core model, enabling the designer to browse and choose the most desirable outcome.

This technology will also allow the designs to be customised rapidly according to the customer's specifications.

This software is implemented on top of existing CAD packages, such as SolidWorks.

This allows the designer to edit the models manually at any stage of the design process form which productions models may be made.

Manufacturing constrains such as draft angels can be built into the genetic model to ensure that is it feasible to manufacture generative designs.

The volumes of all the design could be set to a particular volume, for example 1.5 litre - something difficult to achieve in the manual design process.

Good quality rendering will make the models appear in photorealistic quality, making it possible to build a catalogue of models avoiding the cost of prototyping and product photography.

Photo real rendering will eliminate expensive late stage changes and disappointments rising out of the product looking different than the design.

In the last few year bottle designs has seen an explosive growth in terms of from, shape, colour and material variations in an attempt to grab customers attention.

In a crowded market design is becoming a critical factor.

Genetic design generation will make it easy to rapidly generate attractive designs rapidly.

Each model is generated in approximately 10 seconds.

The cost per design is also greatly reduced.

This generative design technology is developed by Genometri, a Singapore based software company.

This software can also be used for other products than bottles, as example vases, spoons, taps, and pens.

Genometri is also providing a CAD to catalogue service for manufactures that want help with developing new models and catalogues.
