Black-box approach to process timing

A Gizmo Engineering product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 3, 2008

Timer has a relay output to control pumps, solenoids etc, and a loud piezo-buzzer and flashing LED alert the user when the time has elapsed.

New from Gizmo Engineering is an easily installed timer box that is activated by a pushbutton that counts down from a user-settable time.

The timer has a relay output to control pumps, solenoids etc, and a loud piezo-buzzer and flashing LED alert the user when the time has elapsed.

Alternatively, users can manually intervene and push the button again to end the cycle.

The time is easily adjustable to an exact time between 1s and 79min using rotary switches with discrete positions.

The unit is battery powered, and the batteries will last for years; there is a plug-in option for ultra-heavy use.

The timer is built for corrosive and wet environments in a NEMA 4X enclosure.

A further version is available with a second settable time and separate relay output.
