GKS Inspection Services is expanding its area of on-site services coverage to the Toledo market.
GKS Inspection Services is expanding its area of on-site services coverage to the Toledo market.
Steve DeRemer, the company's regional General Manager commented: "Toledo and the surrounding area are an automotive industry manufacturing centre, similar to Detroit".
"By basing some of our staff in the Toledo area, we can offer on-site laser scanning and dimensional measurement services to local customers as quickly and competitively as we do for our Detroit-area customers".
"Our on-site services help cut our clients' inspection costs and reduce time to market, which in turn improves their bottom line".
GKS' experienced metrologists, along with a portable Faro Platinum arm and either a touch probe or a laser probe can complete a wide variety of inspection and reverse engineering projects right at the customer site.
"We believe Toledo has a large enough industrial base to warrant GKS having a local on-site presence there", according to DeRemer.
The GKS Toledo staff can rapidly respond to local customer requests thereby eliminating extra travel expenses, shipping charges, and delays.
Local manufacturers are enthused about having GKS' renowned dimensional inspection and laser scanning expertise available on-site in the Toledo area.
GKS envisions a long-term commitment to the Toledo industrial market.
"GKS will be a key provider of inspection and reverse engineering services in Toledo as we have been in the Detroit area for 25 years", declared DeRemer.
He added that Toledo area customers can also send parts to GKS' A2LA accredited lab in the Detroit metro area (Plymouth) which offers mechanical testing and calibration services using CMMs, vision systems, and other traditional dimensional measurement technologies.
The company also has several laser scanners in its Detroit-area lab that can be used for noncontact inspection and reverse engineering applications.
