Specialist microelectronics distributor, Glyn Ltd, has added the new off-the-shelf Chip-On-Glass LCD Display modules, from Seiko's Vitrium series, to its range of products Chip-On-Glass (COG) modules are ideal for portable application like GPS, bar code scanning, and measurement instrumentation etc, as they offer high density performance in the smallest possible package

In addition, they eliminate the need for elastomers, heatseals, bezels and printed circuit boards.

Instead they are mounted directly on the glass using a proprietary metallised ITO process achieving greatly improved optical performance and reliability.
