Middleton steps up to top job

Sheffield's fast growing and award-winning Gripple organisation has appointed a new Managing Director Chris Middleton steps up from heading Gripple's successful industrial division to take over from Hugh Facey who remains as Executive Chairman, concentrating on soon to be announced significant new business developments

Leicester-born Middleton, aged 43, started as an engineer in his home city before becoming sales director at Sheffield-based company Clarkson-Osborn where he worked for more than 10 years.
More recently he was Managing Director of Rotherham-based Brooke Tools.
Facey said: "I will remain as Executive Chairman and still be very much around, but progressively over the coming months I will hand over the day to day running of the Gripple business to Chris".
Middleton, from Haxey, near Doncaster, said: "Gripple has enjoyed a terrific last 12 months which has seen profits and turnover increase in what is a very competitive market.
I am looking forward to building on this success and leading our growing team in the development of new products and markets".
