GWI announce a unique new industrial type inductive proximity switch which can operate at baking oven temperatures which reach as high as 250ºC.

This sounds like one for a cookery web site, but no - GWI announce a unique new industrial type inductive proximity switch which can operate at baking oven temperatures which reach as high as 250ºC Many industrial applications such as motor body painting plants, case hardening furnaces, lacquering plants, baking ovens etc., are suffering years of maintenance problems

These are generated by the high failure rate of safety and control proximity switching devices resulting from the ravages of operating in arduous conditions at very high temperatures.

The MI 250 NJ Series proximity switches have been developed to address these problems, and offer users a normal operating life span in these critical applications, and a very short pay back period as a added advantage The ceramic sensing probe offers switching distances up to 25mm, and can survive continuous exposure to 230ºC, with short term excursions to 250ºC.

A separate electronics module is connected and operates the sensor via a length of armoured Teflon cable which can be up to 20m long.

This enables high level switching locations to be monitored from the ground.

For ease of installation and replacement the cable has a quick disconnect feature using a Tuchel connector.

The power required is 12~30 VDC, with a 24V switching output, either passive or active, and an on board LED facilitates setting up and locating the trigger point.Mains powered versions are also available.

MI-250 NJ switches are already in operation with a number of major industrial companies including:- Ford Motor Co (USA, UK & Canada), BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Opel and Volvo.
