Graham and White Instruments announce the introduction of the Series WD-620, an all new range of rotary angle transducers

Graham and White Instruments announce the introduction of the Series WD-620, an all new range of rotary angle transducers, designed to convert mechanical angle positions into transmittable electrical signals Inductive transducers are preferred wherever high demands are placed on the reliability of the measurements over long periods and in extreme conditions of application

They contain a differential choke designed as a ring winding with contact free tap giving infinite life.

A particular advantage of this system is that the zero and end points of the mechanical measuring range can within broad limits, be adjusted at the electrical output by purely electrical means using the built-in electronic system.

The WD-620 is available for measuring angles up to 360§, and can be powered from 20~30 volts DC.

The direct output signal from the integral oscillator/demodulator unit, corresponding to the measured range, is 0 or 4~20ma, with linearity of ñ 0.2%.

These transducers can be used in many hostile environments, including potentially explosive plant, in combination with a range of housings offering protection from IP 40 up to IP 67.

Most protective housings also have the option to incorporate cam operated limit switches with forced contact break for end point limitation.

WD -620 transducers have wide and varied applications in measurement, control and monitoring for equipment, such as construction vehicles, cranes and excavators, handling and tooling equipment, and R and D applications.

Here they are exposed to very dusty and humid conditions, but offer absolute transducer reliability.
