The Gar-Seal range of butterfly valves designed specifically for handling corrosive and abrasive materials is now available from Garlock Sealing Technologies.

The Gar-Seal range of butterfly valves designed specifically for handling corrosive and abrasive materials is now available from Garlock Sealing Technologies.

Offered in a selection of application specific lining materials, the valves meet both the EU Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and TU sealing certification requirements.

Linings are moulded from base materials as opposed to more commonly available spayed PFA linings, enabling the Gar-Seal range to provide long service life and safety under severe operating conditions.

Dependent on the application, customers are able to select the most suitable lining material for their application.

Options include: PTFE - providing high chemical resistance and temperature stability; PVDF - bromine resistant and offering higher abrasion resistance to other fluoropolymers; UHMPE - an ultra high molecular polyethylene lining for highly abrasive media; and filled PTFE - an electrostatically conductive liner offering a similar service life to PTFE.

Gar-Seal valves are available from stock in a wide range of sizes and form part of Garlock's extensive product and service offering to the chemical process industry.
