A new nonmetallic oil seal has been introduced by Garlock Sealing technologies.

A new nonmetallic oil seal has been introduced by Garlock Sealing technologies.

Providing an economical alternative to sourcing original parts, the Klozure 154 range can be supplied to fit any shaft diameter from 8mm to 2000mm.

With its seal lip design based on Garlock's well proven Klozure metal cased range, the 154 is available with a choice of 'low friction value' lip seal materials including nitrile, silicone and flouroelastomer.

Saving time on installation, the 154's flexible fabric reinforced rubber polymer casing firmly moulds itself into its housing location.

This overcomes the common problems associated with locating metal cases into badly corroded and pitted housings, particularly on cast materials.

Klozure 154 seals can be supplied in a complete or split form allowing the user the option to save time and cost particularly on larger and less accessible equipment.

The straightforward design of the 154 makes it suitable for many applications, in particular those where, for structural, assembly related or media reasons, a metallic case is not acceptable.
