Great Lakes Chemical Corp is to increase the off-list price of all grades of hexabromocyclododecane flame retardant in Europe, the Middle East and Africa by 10% from the 15th June 2002.

Great Lakes Chemical Corp is to increase the off-list price of all grades of hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) flame retardant in Europe, the Middle East and Africa by 10% from the 15th June 2002 Great Lakes CD-75 and Great Lakes CD-75P HBCD flame retardants are particularly effective in providing flame retardancy to expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) and textile back coatings that are used extensively in the building and construction industry

In addition, Great Lakes SP-75 is a stabilised HBCD flame retardant especially suited for higher temperatures as in the production of XPS board.

HBCD additives exhibit high efficiency at low use levels while making building insulation and textiles flame resistant.
