Phosphorus-based flame retardants go up
Great Lakes Chemical Corp has announced a worldwide10% increase in the price of its phosphorus-based flame retardants during the first quarter 2003, where contracts allow.

Great Lakes phosphorus-based flame retardants, sold under the trade names Reofos and Kronitex, comprise triaryl phosphate esters, bisphosphate-, intumescent-, and trialkyl phosphate ester flame retardants.
These provide flame retardancy to a variety of polymer systems such as PVC, epoxy resins, PC/ABS and modified PPO, phenolic laminates, polyolefins, paints and coatings, and elastomers.
