Great Lakes Chemical Corp has increased the worldwide price of its KP-140 specialty additive by $130/t.

Great Lakes Chemical Corp has increased the worldwide price of its KP-140 specialty additive by $130/t.

The price increase, which takes effect immediately, is necessary due to substantial increases in the cost of natural gas derived feed stocks.

KP-140 specialty additive acts as a plasticiser and de-airing system diluent.

It is used in floor polish applications as a levelling agent, in plastisols such as water-based adhesives, inks, and paints to reduce viscosity, and in textile applications as a biodegradable, non-silicone antifoam agent.
